New Hybrid & Performance Variant
Alongside the complete redesign for the Elantra, Hyundai added both Hybrid and N Line models. There are two different Hybrid trims: the SEL and Limited. Both feature a 1.6L GDI four-cylinder engine paried with a 43-horsepower electric motor. As of the time of writing, the EPA fuel economy estimates have not been released, but Hyundai is shooting for 50+ combined mpg. The N-Line comes with a 1.6L GDI turbo-four produces 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. It is available with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. It also features an independent multi-link suspension.
The 2021 Elantra will have lots of standard tech. Inside the cabin, you can expect an 8-inch infotainment display, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and voice recognition, among other features. Safety features include forward collision warning with automated emergency braking and pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and much more.
